Ohioans for Secure and Fair Elections Announces New Campaign Manager

COLUMBUS – Today, Ohioans for Secure and Fair Elections announces the hiring of Toni Webb as the campaign manager for the campaign, which recently refiled paperwork with the Attorney General’s Office to initiate the process of modernizing Ohio’s elections. The campaign will have a public launch in the coming weeks and is continuing to build a broad coalition, including the endorsements of Ohio Conference of the NAACP, The Ohio A. Philip Randolph Institute, The Ohio Environmental Council, Ohio Religious Action Center of Reform Judaism, and Ohio Organizing Collaborative.

Toni Webb has spent the past decade fighting for working families across the country with the American Federation of State, County, and Municipal Employees. She is a graduate of Millikin University and Saint Louis University School of Law and is a veteran of dozens of political and issue campaigns, including Ohio’s successful SB5/Issue 2 ballot initiative campaign to repeal anti-worker, anti-union legislation. She most recently led For Our Future Ohio, Ohio’s largest permanent field organization that runs issue and independent expenditure programs. Toni is now a partner at JM2, a political consulting agency.

According to Webb, “I am thrilled to be joining Ohioans for Secure and Fair Elections to ensure that our elections are secure, fair, and accessible for every eligible Ohioan. For far too many voters, their trust in the election process has been shaken. But, the good news is that restoring faith in our democracy isn’t hard to fix. We can make it easier for all Ohioans to have a secure vote, an up-to-date system, and accurate voter lists. It’s just common sense.”
